On June 13th, 2017, the Conference of States Parties to the CRPD will start in New York City. This will be an outstanding opportunity for one of the member of our Gender and Disability project to share valuable insights during a side-event titled "Together for Ensuring Sexual and Reproductive Health and Human Rights of Women and Girls with Disabilities: How to tackle multiple discrimination and inequalities."

Indeed, due to multiple discriminations, millions of women and girls with disabilities worldwide are exposed to various forms of human rights violations and gender based violence. This side-event will discuss opportunities, good practices and challenges that political and development processes provide for the fulfilment of human rights of women and girls in relation to their sexual and reproductive health.
