Eneless' poem:

My name is Eneless Chimutu

If my parents had known

They would have killed me in the womb

Indeed, my parents carried me in the womb for 9 months

Not knowing that I was going to be born with a disability

Being born with a disability is not my will

But it is the way God created me

Relatives and friends, let’s not focus on my disability

But let’s hold hands to fight against the stigma associated with it

If my parents had known, they would have just killed me when I was a baby

Chiefs, people in the authorities, do not think that disability is the end of my life

It is the will of God to create me this way

God created us equal

You have never seen God, You have never seen God

It is possible that God could have one leg

It is possible that God could have one hand

It is possible that God also could have a disability

Let’s hold hands to fight against this discrimination

Please, please, the children with disabilities must be sent to school

Do not keep them inside houses, do not lock them indoors

These children will be future leaders

For example, some presidents, and some ministers in Malawi could also persons with disabilities

If their parents left them without sending them to school

How could they reach these positions?

So please send them to school

Let’s develop our country

If my parents had known, they would have exchanged me at the hospital

Let’s also not discriminate against persons with albinism

They are also creations of God

Even those that have mobility issues

We should not leave them behind

Let’s work together

Thank you very much, my name is Eneless
