Project Coordination

This part of the guideline is about setting project coordination, your lead organization and creating an action plan for your MIW project.

You may wish to use MIW as an independent project or may include it as a component in a larger project. All projects utilizing the MIW methodology, however, should have some basic elements in common:

         Primary Tools:

  • Minimum requirements for a MIW project  -  Outline of the essentials of a MIW project.  The MIW Guideline will be restructured in the Summer 2010 to reflect these core essentials.

  • Things to consider when starting your MIW project   -  Document covering some elements you may wish to think about before you start the process of developing a MIW project or component.

  • The multi-stakeholder approach  - The MIW methodology is underpinned by a multi-stakeholder apporach; working in collaboration with other organizations who share an interest in your topic and change will give your project more visibility and credibility.

  • Creating a Steering Committee -  A good approach when developing your project is to create a Steering or "Advisory" Committee to help guide your project utilizing the multi-stakeholder approach.
    • Examples of MIW Steering Committee
  • Examples of job descriptions for MIW staff and project coordination
