Since 2008, the Disability Monitor Initiative (DMI) in the Middle East has used the MIW approach to carry out research and collection of good practices on the theme of Access to Social Services across eight countries in the Middle East: Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

The DMI report on Access to Social Services will be completed at the end of 2009.  The Advocacy phase, using the report to raise awareness, will occur in 2010.
