Updates for ongoing MIW projects:

In 2010, three Making it Work projects were launched by Disabled People's Organizations in the region.

• Colombia - Recognizing Legal Capacity of People with Intellectual and Psychosocial Disabilities in Colombia

• El Salvador - Promoting the Rights to Work for Women and Men with Disabilities in El Salvador

• Guatemala - Accessibility of physical spaces and transportation for people with disabilities in Guatemala
    

Overseeing the technical support for each of the projects was a regional committee of experts representing: Handicap International; Inter--American Institute on Disability and Inclusive Development; Red de Organizaciones No Gubernamentales de Personas con Discapacidad y sus Familias (RIADIS) - Umbrella organization of disability organizations (DPOs) in Latin America and the Caribbean; University of Central America (UCA).
