Monitoring of the CRPD: View to learn how states must report to the CRPD Committee and materials to educate and support alternate reporting. This section also includes information on UN human rights monitoring mechnanisms.

Universal Periodic Review (UPR): The UPR mechanism is a new innovation in the UN human rights system, under which each UN member state will be reviewed periodically-- at this stage every 4 years-- on its human rights record by the other member States of the Human Rights Council. 48 countries will be reviewed each year. Information here will assist NGOs to engage in this process.
